I was born the illegitimate daughter of Pharaoh Obtuse III who was torn apart by an incensed mob after his fifth decree declaring chocolate statues of himself be erected in front of every public building. The first four were each considered a joke since chocolate, understandably, is worshiped as a sacred food of the gods. Anyway, after his martyred death I was discovered to be his only remaining heir since I had arranged for the other 39 of his offspring to meet with accidents involving Belladonna-laced candy frogs. I enjoyed my reign for six years until I discovered it prudent to leave the country under cover of darkness and an assumed name. I traveled from country to country, quickly rising to leadership in each which eventually bored me with its ease and consequent luxury. So I swore off politics, and turned to animation, the humblest of occupations, where I learned the insidious power of the combination of paper and graphite. Now here I am ready to instruct eager young minds in the noble art of visual storytelling and the especial importance of reinventing a background story.
